Darry Michelle, our Saskatchewan Green Party candidate for Saskatoon Centre, got his start in politics at a young age. His dad was campaigning for council and Darry was helping out by handing out food. He grew up in Pelican Narrows and graduated from Wapawikoscikan, the local high school. He’s now entering his 4th year in Education at the U. of S. Darry has also had experience working here in Saskatoon as a student teacher.

Darry’s interest in social justice and the environment led to his participation in a number of Black Lives Matter protests at the University, plus environmental and social justice demonstrations in Saskatoon Centre, where he lives. He met other Saskatchewan Green Party members at these events and volunteered with the party. He is now taking the next step as our SGP candidate for Saskatoon Centre. We are happy to join forces with this young Indigenous man who is just starting his teaching career.
