Daymion Tyndale is a first-generation Canadian born in Regina and raised in Saskatchewan. His parents had emigrated from Jamaica and from England. He has experienced living in Regina, Battleford, North Battleford, Southey and Saskatoon.
Daymion graduated from Robert Usher Collegiate and attended SaskPolyTech (formerly SIAST) to get his certificate as an Electronics Service Technician. He found that it was not a satisfying career goal and decided to change focus. Daymion sought a more people-oriented career.
Daymion met his first wife while volunteering at the Rainbow Youth Centre. It was here that he discovered his path. Using some of the skills he acquired at Rainbow Youth Centre, Daymion went on to ten years as a Teacher Associate and then became an Education Assistant with the Regina Public School Division.
When Daymion’s first wife passed away in 2012, he and his youngest daughter moved from Regina to Southey; here he met his second wife. Daymion joined the Southey Adult Drama Club, and the Southey and District Lions Club, went to Carlton Trail School and received his certificate for Continuing Care Assistant. He worked at Shalom Care Home, and then at South Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre (SSILC) for three years. Currently, he works at Creative Options Regina (COR) as a Support Worker.
Daymion is married with two adult children and is a first-time grandparent. His decision to become a candidate for MLA is based on being a father and grandfather and making a solemn promise to leave a thriving Saskatchewan to future generations.
